Hopefully you have by now obtained your TRN number so I am sharing some best practices for ensuring that your quotes and invoices contain the required information, using our purpose-built, quotation management tool, which integrates with most CRMs and Accounting systems.
1. If you wish to display your customers TRN# then capture it in your CRM once, and we can automatically pull it into your quotes/invoices thereafter. If you don’t use a CRM, we can recommend one and set you up! If you prefer not to use a CRM then we can use one of the custom fields in our quotation management tool.
2. We can ensure that the 5% is automatically calculated and displayed both at the item level and as a total for each quote/invoice.
3. We can display whether an item is Exempt, Zero Rated or at VAT 5%.
4. Individual items can be set as taxable so this automatically reflects in the quote/invoice.
5. In the quotation grid, the column view can be changed to give users visibility of the tax code per item.
6. Your confirmed quotes/invoices can be exported to Accounting systems like QuickBooks to track your VAT returns. If you need a subscription to QuickBooks online, just give us a shout!
7. Finally, please ensure that your own TRN# is clearly visible.
